MPF balances at an all time high
MPF Ratings’ November MPF Performance Survey has now been uploaded on our website.
Key points are as follows:
- Forecasted average member account balance is an all time record of $245,036.
- The MPFR Index of Equity Fund (Global) returned 11.26% in November. The best 1-month Equity Fund (Global) return since MPF launched.
- The MPFR Index of Equity Fund (Europe) produced the highest return (16.29%) for November but is the only asset class still producing a negative YTD return (-1.13%).
- Within HK & China Equities, Passive funds gained 9.24% vs 6.51% for Active funds. November is the 1st month in 2020 where Passive funds have reported a higher 1-month return than Active funds.
- The average 1-month return of all MPF funds in November was 6.22%. The best average 1-month return since November 2011, 9 years.
