ACT ONE
Husband and wife are sitting in a Japanese restaurant looking over the menu in front of them
HUSBAND
“Anything on the menu take your fancy?”
WIFE
“Hmm….not sure, you?”
HUSBAND
“Err….not sure either. Bento Box perhaps? It’s got a little bit of everything – Edamame, mixed sashimi, tempura, teriyaki salmon, pickles, nigiri sushi. A bit of everything, like a well-diversified MPF fund.”
WIFE
“Geez, can we have date night without work talk?”
HUSBAND
“OK! OK! But you know diversification is important. Not all investments work out all the time so you need to mix things up.”
[Wife rolls her eyes as the table attendant approaches to take the couple’s order]
ATTENDENT
“Excuse me mam have you decided what you would like tonight?
WIFE
“A new husband please.”
[Said with a deadpan look]
ATTENDENT
[Looking bemused]
“Excuse me?”
WIFE
“Oh sorry, that was terribly naughty of me. No one man could replace my husband. Make that 5 new husbands. Apparently not all of them work out all the time so, like a well-diversified MPF fund, I need to mix things up.”
